What You Can Learn Through a Veterinary Technology Program

Mildred Elley’s Veterinary Technology program provides a well-rounded curriculum of the different skills and practices required of Veterinary Technicians. Students learn to work closely within a veterinary team and how to support Veterinarians in various animal healthcare environments.

Our Veterinary Technology degree covers a full range of contemporary veterinary knowledge requirements, including teaching you:

  • Continuous patient care and monitoring
  • Phlebotomy
  • Perform and assist in diagnostic imaging (radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI)
  • Pharmacology procedures including medications and vaccinations
  • Administer anesthesia, and prepare and assist during medical surgeries

A site visit, to evaluate the program and determination of accreditation status, will be completed prior to the first graduating cohort.
