Digital Graphics & Multimedia Design Programs

Programs include:

  • Associate's Degree (A.O.S.) in Digital Graphics & Multimedia Design with concentrations in:
    • Design for Advertising
    • Digital & Print Publishing
    • Digital Video Design & Production
    • Multimedia Design & Authoring
    • Web Design & Authoring
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Digital Graphics & Multimedia Design

The programs in Digital Graphics and Multimedia Design provide students with the skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the fields of digital graphics and multimedia design through intensive, hands-on training in the industry-standard software (including digital image manipulation, print and web publishing, and illustration software), general studies, theoretical foundations of visual communications (including principles of design, typography, and color theory), drawing skills, professional practices and entrepreneurship, portfolio development, and career/employment skills.  Graduates will have an opportunity to select a concentration within the degree program to acquire further specialized skills and knowledge according to their interests and career objectives.

Graduates of the program will be employed in a number of fields, including junior, entry-level, and supporting positions in the fields of graphic design, commercial art, desktop and web publishing, and multimedia design at advertising agencies, design studios, corporate communication departments, web design and multimedia firms, and many others. They will also be prepared for advancement to a four-year program.

Game Design & 3D Animation Programs

Programs include:

  • Associate's Degree (A.O.S.) in Game Design & 3D Animation with concentrations in:
    • Advanced Game Design
    • Advanced 3D Animation
  • Undergraduate Certificate in Game Design & 3D Animation

The programs provide students with skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the fields of computer game design and three-dimensional animation through intensive, hands-on training in the industry-standard software (including 3D animation and modeling, digital image manipulation, and editing and compositing), general studies, theoretical foundations (including principles and history of game design and animation), drawing skills, professional practices and entrepreneurship, portfolio development, and career/employment skills. Students will have an opportunity to select a concentration within the degree program to acquire further specialized skills and knowledge according to their interests and career objectives.

Graduates of the programs will be employed in a number of fields, including junior and entry-level positions in the field of game design and 3D animation (e.g., game designer, quality assurance and reporting specialist, assistant technical director, special effects modeler, character modeler, environment/level modeler, etc.), as well as in junior and entry-level positions in fields like law enforcement (forensics modelers), litigation, insurance, and risk management (accident reconstruction, production of visual aides for testimony, etc.), visual effects for advertising and film production, medical imaging , and many others.  They will also be prepared for advancement to a four-year program.
