The College's Extension School regularly offers both Continuing Education and Pre-Licensing insurance courses. Pre-Licensing courses in Property and Casualty Insurance and Life, Accident, and Health Insurance must be completed by persons who wish to seek employment in the insurance field prior to taking the New York State Agent or Broker examination.

Mildred Elley's insurance courses are approved by the New York State Insurance Deparment (NYSID).

Course Description: This course surveys property and casualty insurance principles and concepts common to all state agent license exams. Topics include industry regulation; underwriting; property insurance; personal lines; commercial lines; inland marine; commercial floaters and federal programs; crime insurance and bonds; and workers' compensation.

Registration, Tuition Payments, Refunds
Registration for the Extension School's Insurance courses can be completed by phone, fax, or mail using the Registration Form, accompanied by payment. Payments can be made by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), personal or company check, cashier's check or money order, and cash at Mildred Elley offices. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to limited enrollments. If a course is cancelled by the Center for Training and Development, all payments will be refunded in full. You may cancel your enrollment in the course by giving a notice in writintg of at least five business days before the first day of classes for full refund.
