| Many people can benefit from taking CPE courses at Mildred Elley. Are you a business owner looking to improve your knowledge of Accounting, Payroll, Organizational Behavior, Business Law, or Database Management? Have you been out of school for a while and need to update your skills to become more marketable, whether for the purpose of advancing in your current job or getting a better one? Perhaps you are exploring the possibility of entering a new career field and you'd like to "try out" the educational opportunities open to you? Or maybe you'd like to learn something new as a part of a life-long commitment to personal improvement? You could be a student at another institution who'd like to earn some transfer credits (please check with your school in advance about their credit transfer policies). The students taking these courses come from diverse backgrounds: some are in the labor force, some are retired, and some are high school students taking coursework as a foundation for college. Notwithstanding (and perhaps thanks to) many individual differences, many friendships are formed, as group work is an integral part of education at Mildred Elley. You can choose from more than 200 courses in the fields of Accounting, Business Management, Paralegal Studies/Law, Information and Computer Technology, Medical Studies, General Studies, and Massage Therapy (Pittsfield only)! Courses are offered at both Latham, NY and Pittsfield, MA campuses. The great majority of our CPE courses have no pre-requisites; some have basic pre-requisites that can be waived due to proficiency or previous coursework. Courses generally are offered during days, evenings, and even weekends! Please call the Registrar at either Latham or Pittsfield Campus to find out more about courses offered. Did you know that you can earn 3 college credits by taking a Continuing and Professional Education course that runs every other weekend? Our weekend courses meet every other weekend, for only half a day! Yes, it's intensive, but our instructors get raving reviews about how they made the weekend courses work seamlessly for our students. Just think about it, you could be taking a course for a semester, with two or three sessions per week at your regular college, or you could be taking it at Mildred Elley, every other weekend, for a total of 4-5 weekends (8-10 days). |

| You'll be pleasantly surprised. Our tuition rates are competitive with other higher education institutions in the communities that we serve. Some of our courses even offer more extensive coverage than at other institutions. It is a small investment to make to ensure your personal advancement, improvement of skills, and most importantly, better career prospects. For a limited time, we will waive the standard $25 application fee for CPE students.
