Mildred Elley, a private multi-campus two-year college with campuses in New York and Massachusetts, invites applications for a dynamic, experienced Founding Chair for Radiologic Technology A.A.S. (Associate in Applied Science) Program for its new campus in lower Manhattan.  Established in 1917, Mildred Elley is a proprietary institution of higher education that serves its students throughout the calendar year with accelerated degree programs in several professional fields.

Preferred Skills:

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of program introduction and operations, including:

  • Curriculum;
  • Development of clinical affiliation agreements for RadTech students’ clinical experiences in the greater New York City area; 
  • Helping the college’s administration in developing and submitting all required documentation for the state education department, institutional and programmatic accrediting agencies for approval;
  • Recruiting and retaining adjunct and full-time faculty;
  • Upon program approval and initiation, ongoing responsibilities will include all aspects of program management, including management of students, faculty, curriculum, clinical affiliations, and other tasks.

The incumbent will also work collaboratively with the administrators and faculty of the existing Practical Nursing Certificate Program and other health sciences and life sciences programs in utilizing shared components of the curricula.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a minimum of a master’s degree in radiologic sciences, health sciences, education, or other related field;
  • Be proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and academic advising;
  • Have a minimum of three years’ of documented clinical experience;
  • Have a minimum of two years’ of documented experience as an instructor in a post-secondary radiologic technology program (preferably accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT));
  • Hold a valid AART registration in radiologic technology;
  • Hold a valid, unrestricted NYS radiologic technology license or be eligible for one.
