PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Associate’s degree program in Game Design and 3D Animation provides students with skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the fields of computer game design and three-dimensional animation through intensive, hands-on training in the industry-standard software (including 3D animation and modeling, digital image manipulation, and editing and compositing), general studies (including arts, film, communications, English, and research methods), theoretical foundations (including principles and history of game design and animation), drawing skills, professional practices and entrepreneurship, portfolio development, and career/employment skills.  Students will have an opportunity to select a concentration within the degree program to acquire further specialized skills and knowledge according to their interests and career objectives. The program builds upon the undergraduate certificate in Game Design and 3D Animation.

The undergraduate Certificate program in Game Design and 3D Animation provides students with skills necessary to obtain support-level and entry-level employment in the fields of computer game design and three-dimensional animation through intensive, hands-on training in the industry-standard software (including 3D animation and modeling, digital image manipulation, and editing and compositing), theoretical foundations of game design and 3D animation, and career/employment skills. The certificate program also serves as a foundation for the A.O.S. degree program in Game Design and 3D Animation.
