PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The A.O.S. in Office, Project & Event Management offers advanced training in professional office management, Microsoft Office Suite computer applications (such as word processing, presentation graphics, spreadsheets, and databases), special event planning and management, and the fundamental principles of project management.  The development of written and oral communication skills is stressed for a well-rounded educational experience.

In today’s economy, skilled administrative assistants are essential in all professional offices.  Administrative support personnel are responsible for producing professional correspondence, handling confidential records, creating newsletters and brochures, maintaining office organization, and providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.  The Certificate in Administrative Assistant program provides hands-on computer training that allows students to compete in today’s technological environment.
