Staff Sergeant John William Moses to Deliver Mildred Elley's Keynote Graduation Address Live from Kabul, Afghanistan
Pittsfield Campus to Graduate Over 70 Students
September 19, 2011 (Pittsfield, MA) – Mildred Elley will hold its commencement on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 6pm at Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield. More than 70 students will receive certificates from several different programs including Business Technology; Paralegal Studies; and Massage Therapy.
Staff Sergeant John William Moses who serves in the United States Navy will deliver the keynote address live by Skype. He serves in the United States Navy and is currently stationed at the United States Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan as an SDDC Liaison Officer to the U.S. Embassy. This is his third tour of duty. During his two previous tours of duty he was stationed in Shuaiba, Kuwait. Staff Sergeant Moses was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. He graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts with a concentration in IT. He is a Cisco Certified Design Associate and also holds certifications in Network+ and Server+. When he is not abroad, Staff Sergeant Moses resides in Dracut, Massachusetts and is employed as a Sales Manager for RTM Communications in Bedford, New Hampshire. Staff Sergeant Moses is the Recipient of several awards including two Army Commendation Medals; five Army Achievement Medals; the Afghanistan Campaign Medal; the NATO ISAF Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Medal Expeditionary; the Global War on Terrorism Medal; and the Good Conduct Medal.
The commencement ceremony will include a presentation of awards including the Excellence In Teaching Award, the Distinguished Service Award, the Presidential Award and Academic Achievement Awards.

He and the rest of our servicemen and women are an inspiration to us and we thank them for their service to our country.”

Mildred Elley Pittsfield was founded on February 2, 1991 and has been educating students in the Berkshires for over twenty years.
